Rediculous!
I am so busy but I seem to find time for these things!
First I think it is rediculous that I liked this young adult fiction so much that I read all four of them in 2 weeks! I actually bought the first copy for someone else and wanted to "skim" it to see if she would like it. We see how that went! It d
efinitely lives up to all the hype surrounding it!

Secondly, I gained a rediculous amount of weight with my last pregnancy as I did with the first but I guess the difference woud be I didn't bounce back at 28 like I did at 21! So, I am spending an aweful lot of time at this place (Y's UP at Hillwood) trying to shape up again. Ha! This is what Sara Faith thinks about me leaving her there!
I hate how they act like celebs are all fat and homely looking when they are pregnant and they have gained 3 lbs! The girl from Dancing with the stars gained 15lbs!!! They asked her "How did you lose the weight????" Duh, she never gained it. ugh!
And last for now, I am rediculously excited about this season's bachelor! I think he is a little bit of a ho but he seemd like the nices one so far. hehe. I do like him though not just because he is dreamy but he honestly doesnt seem shallow and I think has made some good decisions so far! I am rooting for this girl! Stephanie from AL! Yay! That's not why thought. She is so sweet and charming and has been through so much. I just think they would be good together. I do think she is a little older than the other girls but she looks amazing to be in her 30's! She has a little girl and her husband was killed in a plane crash when she was 10 weeks old. On one episode it was the girls birthday and Jason surprised Stephanie by bringing Sophia there. Oooh, I boo-hooed! My DVR did not record the one from last Monday if there was one, and I am pretty ill about it! I will have to wait till next week :(

I have a perfectly good Bible. It is maroon, NKJV, regular print, and was a gift a few years ago from my sweet sister. I have to admit that lately (as in it was on my Christmas list but I backed out until I was 100% sure what I wanted) I have been considering getting another Bible. An additional bible. I know I want large print, tabbed (haha i hate searching!), study bible. What I don't know is the version. I have always known about the errors in the KJV and I have always had either the NKJV or NIV. My Bible class teacher had been using the English standard version and I really liked that one. So to me the simple solution would be Which one is easiest to follow and understand?
Not so. I believe, no I know that they do not all word The Message the same. They do not have to until it changes the message. That's what worries me. I bought Savannah a Bible when she was 2. It was pink and a little bigger than the babies' new testament w/ psalms and since she couldn't read it, that was all that mattered. Instead of a version on the front it said iCONNECT. I put a horse sticker over that and off we went. She is 6 now and when she started using her Bible in class we decided to get the NIV child's study Bible..perfect. By the way It is the adventure Bible for her age group with little excercises in it as well. Anyways, I read some of her old Bible and could not believe the outright changes in wording. To actually prove a point, I think. This post is getting unintentionally long so I will give 1 example Acts 2:38.
NKJV Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
iConnect Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins, turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ to show that you have received the gift of the Holy Spirit."
NKJV says repent and be baptized for forgiveness and the 2nd says repent and then be baptized to show that you have already been saved. Now it says it is based on the NLT translation but if you look at 2:38 in that translation here, it does not word it that way...hmmm?
Well back to the beginning *sigh* ( My thoughts are all over the place but it is late :)
God is loving, just, and all-knowing. That means He knows I am a C student and certainly not a scholar with the time to search back to the language of the original scrolls and so I should be able to trust that what I read in the Bible is NOT up for interpretation. Do not add to and do not take away lets me know that if He says "Do it with bells on'" I will be jingling.
I gues I have narrowed it down to being easy to read and scripturally accurate, with the latter being the most important. We'll see how it goes. Next post will be back to the girl who cries while watching HGTV and not so deep! Ha!
Here is a joke I found earlier tonight:
A woman went into her kitchen to find a burglar loaded down with a bunch of stuff he was stealing from her kitchen. Not having any kind of weapon to scare him off, she raised her hand and said "Acts 2:38," and proceeded to quote scripture.
The burglar froze in place and didn't move. The woman called 911, the police arrived and were amazed to find the burglar still frozen where he stood.
"What did you say to him that kept him from moving?" they asked the woman.
She told them that she had simply said Acts 2:38 and quoted scripture.
The police chuckled and escorted the burglar out to the patrol car. "Why did the woman's quoting scripture scare you so much?" they asked.
"Scripture?" said the burglar, "I thought she said she had an ax and two 38's!"

My Life in Pictures( the last couple weeks anyways!)
It's hard to believe that I actually had to cut down to a few pictures so this wasn't too long! There's still a lot because I have not been able to upload for some reason. We had a very busy holiday season but maybe the best one ever!

My girls had a fabulous Christmas! Even though Savannah's jump rope got stuck in the chimney....Ha! We finally found one and she "found" it in the fireplace with a note (Thanks to my cousin Kim and her calligraphy skills!) from Santa. I agree that your kids don't have to get everything they asked for but 1)she only asked for 2 things and 2).they were not expensive (obviously the jumprope was $2 :)

Always Worth It!

Speaking of my cousins mom's friends boyfriend's daughter... just kidding but seriously my ex-husband's cousin is currently being charged with murder. You guessed it :Drunk Driving. Nice boy. He does come across as a little spoiled and self centered but has always been polite to me and let's not have someone judge how we acted in our early 20's. I will say that!
He was no criminal. He isnt a theif, liar, rapist or even a hurtful person. He is a son, and a loving older brother. A college student who loves the nightlife! I would say that right about now, as he is waiting to hear his fate that will change the coarse of his life in a very bad way (not to mention to wear the name of Killer but to live with the fact that someone lost their life on account of this one stupid decision), he would very much agree that it is not ALWAYS worth it!
I found this when my daughter (6 years old) mentioned she thought her dad (we're divorced) was drinking beer IN THE CAR! She described it as a brown glass bottle with a blue sideways oval and white letters. I think we can rule out root beer now. Epecially when she said I could smell it. That is another new story altogether.
When they say divorce is harder than death, i can understand the idea of dealing with the unfaithfulness or the rejection, failure. Now I see that if you have children, your marrital failure affects them in the worst way. I am envious of people who can remain civil and enjoy the kids growing up still getting to share those moments although seperately. It is just so hard to do when the ex cannot quit drinking, girling around, and showing off how cool he is to his 6 year old; not to mention promising her he would never spank her and threatening me and my husband (who does parent her and provide for her unlike the I'll give a hundred every few months no good Fun -Dad) when we do punish her how we see fit. I will have to do a whole seperate post on The Lessors. After all they deserve it!

BooMamas Tour of Homes
It's the most wonderful time of the year! And we are ready! The only thing missing is the wreath on the front door. Maybe I am too picky but I just can't find THE ONE. I still have a little time left so we'll see. But today is the day for the BooMamas Tour of Homes. They are not waiting on me to find a wreath :) This is an annual post she does on her blog where people showcase their Christmas decorations. Let's begin...

Multimedia message
I got a new phone! Look at the amazing pic quality. Although I took it sideways. I still have to figure out how to rotate it before sending;) Im sooo excited. I had been looking for the perfect one since my blackberry pearl died on me this summer. I had a Razr since 2005. When it was time to upgrade I didn't because I loved my phone so much... Then it completely died on me. wiped out everything! No numbers, lost pics, except for the ones I had just figured out how to email to myself. So I decided to try something totally new. Who wanted to spend money on something they had 1 day ago, right! Hence I detest buying tires. What's exciting about that??? It's expensive and I already had tires. Anyways I digress. I got the red pearl and liked it for 30 minutes. It would occasionally go to an SOS mode and unless I was staring at the phone, I had no idea that the phone had shut itself off. Power off and back on. Then there was the idea thatI HAVE to purchase a media plan for like $30 more for the phone to even text or browse ringtones to buy...something the razr already did without that plan. So me, the cheapo, was like oh no! I just wont text. Um...miserable! Well in the end like I said it completely shut down on me as well and since media didn't work.. that's right, all pictures numbers ect lost, gone, never seen again. And it just so happens that I did not have my regular camera the day it snowed in AL Jan 19.(Sooo rare that I even remember it) so you guessed it the first pics of Savannah in the snow for the first time with our new snowdog puppy...gone! ughh! But my friend who was over later on that day actually got a few that I didn't know about and a couple months ago I saw them on her facebook and yay! So I bought a $20 Nokia refurb that I have been using until now. Waiting patiently and browsing phone after phone for this.My hub is totally jealous and wants one too! Now I have a nokia, and the z9 and the replacement (never been used) blackberry. I should start a cell phone equipment company. hmmm.

Friends Come and Go!
Actually they don't. Not real friends. I think you always retain a bond and there is no go. I mean a meaningful true friendship is based on love and commonalities. That just doesn't go away. I have a small number of friends that I have known forever and still keep in touch with. But they are the ones I want to keep up with. When I see who they have become as adults and look at their families it's like looking at extended family that I just don't get to see enough. Barbra is 6 hours older than me. We have known each other since we were 8. We did not start out as best friends. In fact there were some rocky times back in the day. She used to be my step-sister for a time but we like to just say sisters. No 'ex' in there! She hunts, hates purses, loves to be barefoot at all times (even at her graduation) and she is so strong on the outside but easily hurt. She has loyalty that is oddly placed at times but genuin. I get her. She gets me. Her inlaws ignore who she is and get her frilly purses with her name monogramed on them, and really girly things that she will never use. (Sometimes I do benefit from her givaways though so no complaining here:) But seriously I love this girl! When I am hurting she will be there. She is not my best friend. My husband is. He is who I can confide in a
nd be totally vulnerable with. But she GETS me.

This all came about as I was posting this picture of my husband, and his two best friends from childhood (since childhood rather) David and Joel. There are a couple more guys in their 'group' of comrades but these three go back the longest. Pre-school!!!! They know more about his past than I ever will..or should! After months of being to busy to catch up (or in Iraq, for that matter) they still just click right back where they left off. They are the family that is better than family. They have grown together, apparently (I found out this weekend) been in lots of trouble together, talked about goals, realized dreams, lost friends, and everything that makes them as close as they are. My husband would not want me writing about him or his friends but I am so taken aback by this. I have never seen men with these relationships, I guess or maybe I just have an inside advantage view now. We were leaving for church this morning as Joel and Therese were packing to leave for Memphis. Joel tells Michael (Pirt) he has a really nice house and he is proud of him for doing Lord's supper at church, Pirt says, "I love you man. Drive safely." "I love you, too Pirt." This girl is tearing up. Therese and I exchange an understanding glance. Last night David came by to see Joel before he headed to Memphis, Waco then Cali. They played Playstation 3 and then we all played Wii. David kept "soaking in" Pirt with the baby. He says he couldn't have pictured the way everything turned out. Pirt is married, with a step-daughter and a new baby. Joel is married, just eturned from Iraq, on his way to CA, and just found out he has a baby on the way. David just got engaged to (haha)Joel's step-sister. He doesn't know what he thinks about that yet. He shrugged and said, "Well, you are always hangingout at my parents on holidays anyways."
I would say their friendship is solid, unconditional, and still young. Apparently they have worked out a plan for Sara Faith to marry their son (Joel just knows it is a boy) then they will all be real family ;) But I can't help but wonder if that would possiby ever make the friendship contrived???
After Three Days Fish and Company Start to Smell!
I'm still here just been soo busy! We had company staying with us from last Monday until this morning. Wow! Joel is Michael's very best friend since pre-school ( I'll post about that later) and his wife Therese (pronounced Ter-ez from New Orleans) were staying with us before moving to CA. Joel just returned from Iraq. He is in the marines and has been back for about 2 months. They were stationed in NC. Actually Therese came and stayed with us for a weekend in September also. Well he was just stationed in California and has to be there by the end of December. They decided to visit family and friends for 1week each along the way, sort of :) First stop was Albany, GA to visit Joel's Dad. Then to Dothan, AL to visit Therese's dad Then here to Montgomery (Joel's brother lives here too and her college friends). Now they should be settling in Memphis at Therese's Mom's Whom Joel has never met. And the last stop will be to Waco, TX to visit Joel's Mom. Well I suppose that would be the next-to-last and the last would be there new home. Which btw the military apparently has a strange habbit of transferring people to bases where there is a long waiting list and the poor folks moving don't have a place to move to until they get there. They were literally freaking out because there were no available apartments in town or even within an hours distance. I believe they contacted a realtor by now though. They desperately need something fast especially since they just found out they are pregnant!
It was great having them here. They were lovely houseguests and Michael enjoyed seeing his friend. Maybe it was the PS3 he brought ;) But it was nice to be back to normal today.
